Kérdés: The problem consists in diffusion of intimes photos taken without any consentement when victimes didnt even know about it. Mostly the victimes are Hungarians and Iranians living here in Hungary. Some of them were threatened that these photos will be sent to their families, friends, etc. I would like to know what says Hungarian law about such situation and what can be done?

Válasz: Dear Sir/Madam, Due to the operative hungarian legislative provisions, whoever takes a photo of another person without any permisson will insult his/her rights to privacy. Everyone has the right to the protection of the law against such interference so whoever’s rights were insulted is entitled to initiate civil procedure. In this case the plaintiffs are also entitled to prosecute against the perpetrator(s) on the grounds of harassment.
